The CRAMIF pays disability pensions to insured individuals in Île-de-France every month. The payment operates in arrears: the pension due for a given month is credited to the bank account only at the beginning of the following month. This mechanism, simple in appearance, regularly generates misunderstandings, especially when a revaluation comes into play.
Interaction between the April 2026 revaluation and related rights at CRAMIF
Disability benefits were revalued by 0.8% as of April 1, 2026. This increase affects disability pensions, lifetime disability annuities, the third-party assistance allowance, and temporary disability allowances.
The point that most payment calendars do not detail is the domino effect on related rights. The AAH was also revalued by 0.8% in April 2026. However, for a CRAMIF insured person who combines a disability pension and AAH, the increase in the pension mechanically reduces or even cancels the AAH supplement. When the pension exceeds the resource ceiling, the AAH can be reduced to zero despite the revaluation.
The additional disability allowance (ASI) follows the same logic. Since April 1, 2026, it is capped at €922.16 per month for a single person. A revalued pension that exceeds this threshold results in an automatic decrease in the ASI. Therefore, checking one’s rights after the April revaluation is not limited to looking at the gross amount of the pension: it is also necessary to assess the impact on each complementary benefit.
To understand this mechanism in detail, the terms of CRAMIF payment and the April 2026 disbursement are documented with concrete reflexes to adopt in the face of an amount that seems inconsistent.

Disability pension paid in arrears: when does the April revaluation appear
Payment in arrears means that the pension due for April 2026, revalued by 0.8%, is credited only between May 1 and May 5, 2026. A CRAMIF insured person checking their bank account at the end of April will therefore see no trace of the increase. It is in the early May transfer that it materializes.
This particularity explains a good portion of the reports of delays. Many insured individuals expect to receive the revaluation as of April, while the payment schedule structurally shifts each payment by one month. The May transfer reflects the revalued pension for April.
In Alsace-Moselle, the schedule may present specificities related to the local scheme. For insured individuals under CRAMIF (Île-de-France), the standard scheme applies without particular derogation.
Check the amount on Ameli
The Ameli account allows you to consult the payment statements for the disability pension. After each payment, a detailed statement indicates the gross amount, social deductions, and the net amount paid. This is the first reflex to spot if the revaluation has been applied correctly.
On the CRAMIF website, it is also possible to obtain a payment certificate or a disability pension certificate. These documents serve as proof for the CAF, particularly for the calculation of AAH or ASI.
Amount of the disability pension: calculation and categories to know
The disability pension is calculated based on the average annual salary of the best ten years of contributions. The rate applied depends on the category of disability recognized by the medical advisor of the CPAM or CRAMIF.
- Category 1: the insured can still perform a reduced professional activity. The calculation rate is 30% of the average annual salary.
- Category 2: the insured is unable to perform any professional activity. The rate increases to 50% of the average annual salary.
- Category 3: the same situation as category 2, with the additional need for assistance from a third party for daily living activities. The pension for category 2 is then increased.
The amounts are framed by floors and ceilings that are revalued each year. The revaluation of January 2026 adjusted the general scale and pension ceilings, while that of April 2026 specifically addressed the amount of benefits paid. These two revaluations accumulate but do not occur at the same time, complicating the reading of statements for insured individuals.
Verification of CRAMIF pension rights: concrete control points
To be eligible for the disability pension, one must have been affiliated with Social Security for at least twelve months on the first day of the month in which the work stoppage or the recognition of disability occurs. The work capacity must be reduced by at least two-thirds compared to the normal remuneration of workers in the same category and region.
An additional condition relates to contributions: one must have contributed based on a remuneration at least equal to 2,030 times the hourly SMIC during the twelve calendar months preceding the stoppage.
- Check on Ameli that the recognized disability category corresponds to the current medical situation.
- Verify on the payment statement that the applied rate (30% or 50%) is consistent with the category.
- Ensure that the 0.8% revaluation appears on the transfer credited in May 2026 (corresponding to April).
- Report any anomalies directly to CRAMIF via Ameli messaging or by phone, attaching the relevant statement.
In case of payment delays, CRAMIF may grant a retroactive payment if the pension was awarded late. The retroactive payment covers the period between the effective date of the pension and the first actual payment.

The next revaluation will occur according to the regulatory schedule, usually in January or April of the following year. Keeping a monthly track of Ameli statements remains the most reliable way to spot a payment error before it persists over several months.
